Excelent device, easy to install and use.
Worked well on our Hyundai Veracruz. Made easy install for a rear view mirror dash cam. Your vehicle rear view mirror must have power coming to it for auto dim and or compass. Plug and play. If you have a mirror as pictured you should be good to go.
The FitDVR was the best purchase for installation of my dash cam. The installation took about 10 minutes from start to finish and I was being very careful with my 2025 Genesis GV80. The instructions are clear and simple. Choose the correct cable attachment from the provided cables. I popped open the small panel behind the rear view mirror control box then plugged in the cable to the FitDVR. No pry tool needed. I mounted the FitDVR onto the surface of the control box. Next I mounted the dash cam on the windshield behind the mirror and next to the mirror control box.
The most difficult part of the project was removing the black plastic box from behind the rear view mirror but it came away with some perseverance.
Fitting the Y cable was very straightforward as was connecting the camera. So much easier than running wiring through the car. Great piece of kit.
Bought this for my 2025 Kia Sportage. The fitting is straight forward and the operation is as described. However, a couple of points could be improved. The link cable from the main box to the camera could be a bit longer (another 10-15cm would help camera placement) and the sticky back pad should be improved...I gave up on it hanging down after leaving the car for a while and resorted to using number plate sticky pads to keep it secured.
